Developing SSIS Solutions for the Long Haul

  • In-Person @ Lansing, Michigan, United States (map)
  • 17:30 - 19:30 Eastern Daylight Time
  • Language: English

Abstract
You are using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for important and ongoing data transfer needs for your clients.  You have seen that it takes too much time to resolve problems and that it is painful to make enhancements to the product.  What are some principals that you could apply to create a “better, faster, stronger” and more sustainable product? In particular, what things can you do in development to simplify ongoing support (there will be problems)? Learn how to quickly find the source of a problem, efficiently identify what needs to change to solve the problem, and select tasks that help reduce the problems to begin with.
