Session Title:  Introduction to SQL Server Reporting Services

Presenter: George Squillace

Abstract: George will introduce SQL Server Reporting Services as a feature-rich reporting platform. In this session we will cover typical SSRS deployment architectures and the primary report development tools. Thereafter we will explore the basics of report authoring including creating data sources, creating data sets using typical data regions such as a Tablix, Chart and Gauge, and data set grouping. We are also likely to explore parameterization and the SSRS expression language used to make reports dynamic.

Speaker Bio: George has been in the I.T. industry for over thirty years, a professional trainer for nearly twenty five years, and an MCT since 1997. He has worked with and certified in every version of SQL Server since SQL Server 2000 along with a number of other industry certifications. He is very enthusiastic about the SQL Server product, especially the Business Intelligence capabilities.
